Our Character Trait for August and September was CITIZENSHIP.
Good citizens care and share. They respect others and do not judge others for being different. They understand that rules are made for good reasons and do not break them.
Good citizens care about our school, our community, and our world and do their part to make our surroundings better.

Character Challenge for Citizenship: CitizenSLIPS!
When adults in the building see someone being a good citizen, they will fill out a purple citizenship CitizenSLIP! CitizenSLIPS will be collected daily and counted. Every day's leader will be announced over the intercom. Each class will also set their own goal of how many CitizenSLIPS they think they can earn by September 25th.
Classes that reach their goal will be recognized at the Character assembly on September 26th and the class with the most slips will win the character Character Cup.

Our service project for Citizenship will once again be to clean up our own community. Students of Waverly Intermediate School will go in shifts to clean up Wayne Park and the streets and sidewalks on the way. We would love it if you would continue to encourage your child to take care of our community by being a good citizen!
Third grade will leave WIS by 10:15 a.m. Fourth grade will leave WIS by 1:00 p.m. Fifth grade will leave WIS by 1:30 p.m. |
